On December 15 the City of Olivette will move from Code Red to SirenGPS. SirenGPS offers emergency messaging AND provides location identification when you call 911 from the app! Download the free SirenGPS app on your smartphone, register and create an emergency profile, OR register online athttp://2016.sirengps.com//register
SirenGPS is similar to the CodeRED system you are used to and will be used to send critical communications, from evacuation notices to missing child alerts, as well as important administrative messages from the City. There is, however, an additional feature that is very beneficial: GPS Location. When a person calls 911 from a cell phone, the system will be able to provide an accurate location of the caller, even if the caller is unable to speak to the dispatcher.
