Public Works

The Public Works Division is charged with maintaining the City's street and sidewalk system, trash and recycling contracted services, municipal facilities, snow removal operations and right of way trees. It also administers and oversees private construction activities which take place in the public right-of-way.

Capital Improvement Program

The Public Works Division implements the City's Capital Improvement Program, which includes the design and rehabilitation of streets and pedestrian infrastructure.

Sewer Lateral Program

Additionally the Public Works Department manages the Sewer Lateral Program which is funded by residents to cover a portion of qualifying expenses to repair sewer laterals.

Internal Services

The Division provides internal services to other City employees by maintaining all government buildings and the fleet of vehicles. The Public Works Division strives to provide excellent service to our clients-the residents of the City of Olivette.

Staff

The staff consists of the Director of Public Works, Lead Operator, 2 equipment operators/laborers and 1 mechanic.
