Demographics
The City of Olivette is a suburban, residential community with a strong economic base represented by a mixture of manufacturing, commercial enterprises, numerous small specialty shops, and support services. Olivette is located near the geographic center of the St. Louis Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) in St. Louis County, Missouri. The City covers approximately 2.77 square miles, approximately 10-miles west of Downtown St. Louis.
Interstate-170 (I-170) is an intra-state connector bordering the City's eastern edge boasting connectivity to Interstate-70 within 4-miles, Interstate-64/40 within two-miles, as well as, access to Lambert-St. Louis International Airport within 6-miles.
The City of Olivette is traversed by Olive Boulevard which serves as the City's primary retail and commercial corridor.
