Overview

The Olivette Police Department Drug Take-Back Initiative aims to provide a safe and convenient way for both residents and non-residents to dispose of expired, unwanted, or unused medications. 

Dropping Off Medications for Disposal

Anyone wishing to drop off medications for disposal may do so Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays. The Olivette Police Department also participates in the National Drug Take-Back days which are coordinated with the Drug Enforcement Agency. These dates are determined by the DEA, however, typically are held in the Spring and Fall. 

What We Can and Cannot Accept 

Medications may include both prescription and non-prescription types. 

  • No needles may be accepted
  • No inhalers may be accepted
  • Pre-loaded syringes are OK as long as the needle has been removed
  • Eli-Pens are accepted
  • Pet medication are accepted
