The City of Olivette, Missouri is looking to fill (2) City Council member positions to serve for a three-year term. The General Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. Application packets are available for pick-up.
About the City of Olivette and City Council
The City of Olivette is a Charter City with a Council-Manager form of government. Under the Council-Manager form of government, City Council establishes policies and ordinances, and the City Manager handles the day-to-day management of the City organization.
The City Council serves as the legislative and governing body for the City of Olivette and refers to these core goals for guidance in their decision-making. All five Council members are elected at-large, meaning Council members do not represent a specific area of the City. Each member serves a three-year term. Following the April election, the five Council members choose who will serve as Mayor and Chairman Pro-Tem. The Mayor is the official head of the City government for all ceremonial duties and serves as the chairperson of all council meetings. The Mayor Pro -Tem serves during the absence of the Mayor.

December 6th, 2022 - Opening of candidate filings (8:00 a.m.) at the Olivette City Center. Completed packet materials, including 25 signatures of registered voters, can be dropped off.
December 13th, 2022 - Closing of candidate filings (5:00 p.m.) at the Olivette City Center. Packets will no longer be accepted.

- Liaison to an Olivette board or commission (additional 1-2 meetings a month)
- Attend community events
