Toys for Tots

Make a local child's dream come true this holiday season! The Olivette Fire Department is collecting toys through December 12th in partnership with the Marine Toys for Tots Program.

Children are one of our nation’s most valuable resources. Today’s children are tomorrow’s leaders – civic, business, and social. Alarmingly, approximately 15 million American children live in poverty.

The primary mission of the Marine Toys for Tots Program is to collect new unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to less fortunate children during the holiday season. Local campaigns are conducted annually in over 800 communities covering all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.

  • Bring new, unwrapped toys to the Olivette City Center (1140 Dielman Road) now through December 12, 2022, from 8 am to 5 pm.
    • There will be boxes both in the lobby of the City Center and at the Olivette Firehouse.
  • Toys should not resemble any weapon (ie, gun, knife).
  • Toys should not contain any perishable foods.

Toys for Tots assist children up to age 17. Items to consider for pre-teens and teens include, but are not limited to, sporting equipment, bags, balls; books, backpacks, cosmetics, purses, watch/wallet gift sets, bath gift sets, board games, radio control cars and trucks, hand-held electronics, skateboards/helmets, curling irons, hair straighteners, and hair dryers.
